Ich hatte grade ne kurze Auszeit vom Renovieren und konnte wieder mal herzhaft lachen über die Chuzpe des wunderbaren american marketing:
Supro S6420 Thunderbolt 35-watt 1 x 15" Tube Combo
Für mich liest sich das so - ich fasse mal zusammen:
- simple, unstabile geht-früh-in-die-Knie Schaltung,
- geringe Leistung: 35W "Tschernobyl" power plant,
- rappelige Leichtbaukiste,
- 15 Zoll Billigspeaker mit Magnet eines 10-Zöllers.
Also echt- wer würde dafür 1444 Euronen (bei Thomann) ablegen,na?
Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix etc. - die Liste der Gitarristen, die den Supro Amp für legendäre Aufnahmen benutzt haben, liest sich wie das who is who der Rockgeschichte. Nun gibt diese Amps wieder als Reissue."
Und hier der lustige Werbetext:
Just in time for its 50th anniversary, Supro has reissued the S6420 Thunderbolt tube guitar amplifier. Like the Fender Bassman, the Thunderbolt was originally intended to be a bass amplifier. While far from a stellar bass amp, the Thunderbolt quickly became a holy grail tone device for electric guitar players. Indeed, the first time you crank up this Thunderbolt reissue, you'll be treated to a huge, raw, overdriven, rock 'n' roll tone cascading from a custom designed 15" Supro TB15 speaker. Simplistic, sporting only a tone and volume control, the Supro S6420 Thunderbolt tube guitar amplifier's cathode-biased 6L6 output section produces 35 watts of pure rock 'n' roll power.
S6420 Thunderbolt Two knobs and the TRUTH: The legendary 1964 “Blue Rhino Hide” Supro Thunderbolt is back. Renowned for its bold, full-range sound and up-front, honest midrange, the Thunderbolt covers a remarkable spectrum of vintage tone while wringing every ounce of personality from whatever guitar is plugged in. From clean jazz to Tele twang, soapbar blues to humbucker grind, the Thunderbolt dishes out 35 Watts of “Class A” tube tone from its vintage Supro dual 6L6 power plant. True to the ‘64 version of the Thunderbolt, a 5U4 rectifier tube is employed to deliver that unmistakable high-powered vintage sag. Normal and Extra hot input options, combined with a wide range of available gain on tap, allow you to fine-tune the texture and response of this amp’s massive sound. Turned all the way up, the Thunderbolt exhibits nearly zero self-noise; yet it puts out enough volume to be easily heard on large venue and theatre stages, with overdrive completely controlled by the guitar’s volume knob.

Massive custom transformers and lightweight, vintage-correct cabinetry—combined with the best-sounding 15” guitar speaker money can buy—put the Thunderbolt in a class of its own. With the amp turned all the way up, chords ring with exceptional clarity and definition, amidst copious amounts of tube overdrive and output-stage saturation. Available once again in all its bonafide Supro glory, the Thunderbolt returns in style.
...ich lach mich schlapp! tg_muahaha: :confetti: :confetti: :confetti:
