Betreff: guitar question
Hi Jason,
I’m a fan of the TV-show „Becker“, which is currently running again over here in Germany, just because of the great guitar licks I can hear there every two minutes. To be honest, I’m lying on the couch with my guitar ,watching the show and trying to copy these licks. The story isn’t that important… Recently I learned, that you have been the guitar player for Becker and now I do have a question. I’m pretty sure, you used a maple neck strat for the show and, if my ears don’t betray me, you did use the neck pickup. Well, I’ve been talking about the show and your licks in a forum for guitarists over here and most of the users say, it is impossible to identify a certain guitar type in the mix and even more impossible to hear if it’s a maple neck or not, or which pickup-position has been used. I don’t think, that it’s impossible, on the contrary, I think, if a certain sound is so distinct, it is pretty easy to identify. Nevertheless, those guys are calling me names and since you are the originator, you are the best choice to ask. So, please, if you can spare a minute, would you be so kind and answer? Was it a maple neck strat and was it the neck pickup?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Sincerely
Tom
